A spur-of-the-moment decision to explore what was at the end of the lane & beyond took us through fields of prickled colour finding mushrooms, butterflies & good times although that does not explain the trippy nature of the pictures! No drugs were used in the taking of these pictures; merely good people enjoying what the sunshine & the world on our doorstep brings us.
Wandering through the Howardian Hills brought us to the picturesque Kirkham Priory & Bridge crossing the River Derwent. The Priory was a little disappointing: describing it as a, "fine example of a Augustian Priory," is pushing the realms of imagination because there, simply, was too little of it to enjoy unless a vibrant imagination can rebuild the Priory in the mind's eye & ignore the beauty that has already settled on the area.
